About
A school that shows its work
Mission
What we exist to do
Millyard School is a private elementary school operated by a New Hampshire nonprofit corporation now being formed, with IRS 501(c)(3) recognition to follow. The mission is plain: an evidence-based, mastery-oriented elementary education — taught explicitly, practiced until it lasts, and measured honestly.
The evidence commitment
Claims you can check
Every school says its approach is research-backed. We publish the research: more than a thousand papers read and graded against a public rubric, organized by the actual decisions a school has to make. Where the evidence is strong, we follow it. Where it's thin or mixed, the entry says so. It's all at kb.millyardschool.com.
The colors
Indigo, cotton, granite, brick
Our colors are the Amoskeag Manufacturing Company's own — indigo and unbleached cotton from its ACA ticking, granite and brick from the mile of mills where Manchester learned to make things. New Hampshire once built serious things with serious care. A school should be built the same way.
